Shortly after 11 o’clock there was an alarm about a boat accident outside Norrsundet in Gävle. According to the rescue service, it is a civilian boat with two passengers where a fire broke out.
– According to their own statement, those who raised the alarm are unharmed, but have not succeeded in extinguishing the fire to one hundred percent themselves, says the rescue service.
The boat must be in the outer parts of the archipelago and has no possibility of getting to land by itself. Rescue services and the Sea Rescue Society have been sent to the scene and a helicopter has been called.
– Now it’s about getting a resource there as soon as possible, says the rescue service.
