A fire broke out at AVR on Thursday morning in a crucial part of the company that processes the waste from more than 2 million households in the Netherlands. This is delivered there from Rotterdam, Leiden, The Hague, Utrecht and all over Zeeland, among others. The company was therefore previously unable to properly understand the consequences for waste processing in Utrecht, among other places.
