Fire in Malmö – two to hospital
Police, emergency services and an ambulance were called late Saturday evening to a residence in Norra Sorgenfri in Malmö due to a fire. This is what the police write on their website.
Two 55-year-old men were taken to hospital by ambulance. One of them is suspected of starting the fire and is arrested on suspicion of aggravated arson.
Interviews will be held with both men.

SMHI has issued new yellow weather warnings on Monday, now in the whole of southern Sweden.
In eastern Svealand, eastern and western Götaland, heavy snowfall in combination with wind can cause major problems in traffic.
“Don’t go out into traffic unnecessarily or prepare yourself for the possibility of standing still. Traffic conditions can be difficult due to drifts, slippage, poor visibility and snow”, writes SMHI.
There is also a risk of delays or canceled departures in public transport.
SMHI also warns of power outages and disturbances in the telecommunications network where there are overhead lines.
Since before, a belt with orange warnings has been in place over central Sweden where there is a risk of heavy snowfall.

A man in Umeå is sentenced to three months in prison for assault after pushing a beer bottle into or against another man’s butt, reports Folkbladet.
According to the newspaper, the convicted man was previously married to the vulnerable man’s partner.
The crime took place during a pub evening last summer. An uproar ensued after the convicted man approached the plaintiff unprovoked and carried out the deed.
The man denies the crime. He has previously been sentenced for, among other things, attempted serious assault and serious violation of women’s privacy.

A robot from Yemen has been shot down before it could cross the border into Israel, the Israeli military announces on Telegram.
As a result of the robot, the aircraft alarm went off in Talmei Elazar in northern Israel.

Now the police suspect that he got into an empty house outside Molde.

Several people have been seen running from the scene.

– Something has exploded, but it has not led to any personal injuries or major damage to the building, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.
A hunt for the perpetrator is underway.

Something has exploded at an apartment building in Kortedala in Gothenburg.
– It was residents in the area who heard the explosion and raised the alarm, says Thomas Fuxborg, press spokesperson at the police.
The police have been able to ascertain damage to a balcony and a door.
– I have not received any information that anyone was inside the home at the time of the explosion.
No one was injured, the police said.
– We are knocking on doors in the area and trying to get a picture of what happened.
The incident is being investigated as public destruction.

Austria’s conservative Chancellor Karl Nehammer will resign “within the next few days”.
The announcement comes after government talks with the social democratic SPÖ broke down on Saturday.
– We have tried everything. But it has proved impossible to reach agreement on essential key issues, so there is no hope for a positive future for Austria, says ÖVP leader Nehammer according to the country’s public service company ORF.
The ÖVP and SPÖ have ruled Austria before, but in the election in September they got the smallest possible majority in the parliament with a total of 92 of the 183 seats.
They therefore wanted to get an additional party, Neos, into a coalition, but that party dropped out of the talks on Friday.

A person has been detained in Eskilstuna after the regional task force was on site at an address on Saturday, which Eskilstuna-Kuriren has reported on, among other things.

500 kilos of space junk landed in Kenyan village
A village in northern Kenya was shaken earlier this week when a circular object with a weight of around 500 kilograms and a diameter of 2.5 meters fell from the sky.
The Kenyan Space Agency has identified the object as space debris, CNN reports. Preliminary assessments claim that it is a so-called separation ring that has come loose in connection with a rocket launch.
– It is very, very unusual for objects this large to reach the ground. They are normally designed to burn up in the atmosphere, says Johan Köhler, head of the research and development department at the Swedish Space Agency, to Ekot in Sveriges Radio.

A 55-year-old woman was attacked on a dog walk outdoors in Borås.
A boy allegedly assaulted the woman and hit her in the back with a sharp object.
– The woman has been out walking her dog. Then she discovers that a young guy is walking behind her. Out of nowhere, she then receives a strong blow in the back and turns around. Then the boy runs from the scene, says Thomas Fuxborg, press spokesperson at the police.
The woman has been taken to hospital.
– The ambulance staff discovered that the woman had been injured with a sharp object.
The police now have a big effort to find the suspected perpetrator.
– The woman has no idea who this boy is. He is completely unknown to her from before.
