An alarm about the development of smoke from an industrial premises in Slagsta in Botkyrka was received by the emergency services just before 6 o’clock on Monday morning. According to the emergency services, the fire started a little way into the premises in some type of workshop.
A major operation is underway with four fire stations on site along with a number of special units. Police and ambulance are also on site.
– We do not have the fire under control yet, but we will remain there for a longer time, says officer on duty Daniel Lundin.
Cause of fire still unclear
According to the emergency services, no people should remain in the building, but one person who was in the premises has had to be taken care of by the medical services. What caused the fire is still unclear and at the moment no crime is suspected.
