Shortly after 15:00 on Wednesday, a fire started in a cornfield outside Malmö. The fire spread quickly, and caused heavy smoke that was visible over large parts of Malmö. The Swedish Transport Administration warned road users of heavy smoke over the E65.
According to the TV4 news reporter on the spot, the rescue service stated that it was about 15 hectares of arable land that was on fire.
At 4:15 p.m., the emergency services announced that the fire was under control.
