Police warns: Burglary in the estate

Since November last year, the police in the East region have been alerted to several burglaries in the estate.

It is unclear if the burglaries are linked to each other.

    – What we can see is that the connection is that it is precisely the death estate that you have focused on, says Helena Wahlund, analyst at the regional crime coordination in the East region.

She says that several measures can be taken to reduce the risks of burglary.

    – It’s a lot about getting the house not to look deserted. You can move cars, light lamps and make tracks in the snow, for example, she says.

Other advice is to talk to neighbors and move valuables from the house.

    – Tell that their neighbor has passed away and that the house will temporarily be empty. In this way, neighbors can also be helped and see if there is any strange activity around the houses, says Helena Wahlund.
