Eight units from the rescue service are on site at the fire that broke out in an industrial premises in Risudden, outside Övertorneå. The alarm came in to SOS Alarm shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
According to SOS Alarm, it is about large amounts of white smoke from the building. The extinguishing work is expected to last until approximately 11 p.m.
An ambulance was also called to the scene, but no one needed hospital treatment. The risk of spread is not considered to be great.
