In a written statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Health, it was stated that a fire broke out in the radiology department of the hospital belonging to a non-governmental organization in the Al-Matariyye district of the capital, Cairo.
It was stated in the statement that 12 ambulances were sent to the scene, and according to the first determinations, 3 people died and 32 people were injured.
FIRE UNDER CONTROL
In the statement, it was stated that the injuries occurred as burns, fractures and exposure to smoke, and that all the injured received the necessary medical services in the surrounding hospitals.
While no information was given on the cause of the fire in the ministry’s statement, local media reports stated that the fire was under control. (AA)
