Fire causes $ 500,000 damage to house in long point

The Norfolk Fire Department was Called about the Fire on Old Cut Boulevard at About 5 Am

Crews from Port Rowan, St. Williams, Langton and Fairgroups Extinguized the Fire, Which Was Advanced in the Rear Portion of the House. No one was home at the time. The House is insured.

Icy conditions result in one firefighter suffering in minor injury.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but is the considering suspicious.
