    Fire attacks against apartment in Rosengård

    An apartment in Rosengård in Malmö was subjected to a fire attack just before 01 the night until Thursday.

    “Someone has thrown flammable fluid in the mailbox, which has since been lit,” says Magnus Lefèvre, police officer on duty at the South Police Region.

    A number of people were in the apartment during the attack but no one should have been injured.

    – It did not develop into any major fire and I think they managed to extinguish it themselves, but the rescue service has been on the site and the apartment is blocked off and will undergo a technical investigation, says Magnus Lefèvre.

    A preliminary investigation into murder has been initiated. At present, no suspects have been arrested in the case.

    A man in his 30s was seriously injured when the truck he was traveling in drove in the ditch the night until Thursday.

    The accident was alerted at 02.07 and took place on the E4 at the height of Njurunda in Sundsvall municipality.

    When emergency services arrived at the scene, life -saving efforts were made and the man was then taken by ambulance to hospital.

    – We have very little information about how it went, but according to information, the man should be seriously injured. The truck he drove contains dangerous goods but it should not be dangerous to the public and it has no leakage, says Johanna Carlefred.

    500 cyclists may have passed the hand grenade in the old town

    The City of Stockholm estimates that over 500 cyclists may have passed the hand grenade found at Skeppsbron in the Old Town last October. It reports P4 Stockholm.

    The grenade is believed to have been thrown outside a property just before midnight according to the police preliminary investigation, the channel reports. But no one alerted the police about the object until seven the next morning.

    Prosecutor Anna Stråth tells P4 Stockholm that there was a great danger to the people who passed the grenade. Four men are charged with the event.
