ELECTRONIC PARTS ARE PRODUCED FOR THE DEFENSE INDUSTRY
It was reported that the Platan Defense Research Institute in Moscow, which develops electronic parts for the Russian defense industry, is located in the building, and special R&D studies are carried out at the institute, especially for the Russian army. While it was thought that the fire might have started due to a gas cylinder explosion or electrical leakage, an investigation was launched into the fire.
In the news in the Russian press, it was stated that the building where the fire broke out was built during the Soviet Union period, became private property after the collapse of the Soviet Union in the 90s, and that no fire safety inspection was carried out in the building after 2017. (UAV)
