Brantford firefighters responded to a fire at 144 Mary Street Saturday night in Brantford.
The call was received at 9:59 pm When firefighters arrived at the former Star Lanes building, there was smoke coming from the roof.
“They worked hard at this fire,” said Brantford Deputy Fire Chief Scott Pipe.
The fire was determined to be under control at 1:30 am
“The fire is under investigation,” said Pipe. “It was a vacant building.”
A damage estimate and the cause of the fire were not available Sunday morning. No injuries were reported, and there were no injuries to firefighters.
