A fire has broken out at Arlanda central, train traffic has been stopped and the station evacuated.
The police have arrested a man suspected of setting fire to rubbish at the mouth of a tunnel.
– The emergency services are on site and train traffic has been temporarily stopped while the emergency services investigate, says Ellen Laurin, press officer at Swedavia.
The Swedish Transport Agency writes that the fire has caused a stop in train traffic. Both long-distance and commuter train traffic is affected.
– At the moment we have no forecast for when traffic can resume, says Felicia Danielsson, press communicator at the Swedish Transport Administration.
Swedavia announces that it has received indications of smoke in the southern part of the station.
– According to information, there must have been a small fire on the platform, it must have been extinguished. We are on site and checking, says Thomas Skantz, line operator at the rescue service.
According to witnesses, a train must have been evacuated at the station, reports P4 Stockholm.
