The emergency services have been alerted to a fire at the biomedical center, next to Scania University Hospital in Lund.
The rescue service has sent reinforcements and drones are participating in the operation.
– There is smoke coming from a ventilation drum and flames have been seen on the roof, says Joel Johansson, officer on duty at the Rescue Service.
According to information for TV4 news, it is solar cells on the roof that have caught fire and four fire stations are engaged in the extinguishing work.
An ambulance is on the scene, but there are no reports of injuries.
