Anni Alakoski, the reigning women’s SM Paris Sprint champion skier, told the sad news on her own Instagram account.
The skier who shone in the colors of the Kainuu Skiing Club in the SC Paris Sprint last February Anni Alakoski27, shared the sad news on social media on Monday.
– A leg that hurts with Ensilum requires immediate surgery to heal. In my sports career, I have encountered an incredible amount of illnesses and injuries, but I want to believe and hope that I can get through this too, Alakoski wrote on Instagram.
– Fortunately, I am surrounded by a fantastic team of professionals and important people who support and help me move forward.
A private team competes in Alakoski this season At Team Electrofitwhich also includes, among other things, Lauri Lepistö, Vilma Nissinen, Markus Vuorela and Verneri Suhonen.
At the end of November, Alakoski participated in the women’s 10 km (p) intermediate start race of the Ruka World Cup, where she finished 39th.
Two weeks earlier, Alakoski was promisingly 11th in the international games in Olos. There he was only 12.7 seconds slower than the eighth place finisher Krista Pärmäkoski.
In February of last year, Alakoski won together Anne Kyllönen with gold in the pair sprint of the Vantaa Ski Championships. He also has SM silver and two SM bronzes from the same trip.
