The Trondheim World Championships saw a surprise bet late Friday night, when Finland’s best skiers today Eetu Nousiainen Stayed out of the Normal Hill race team.
Saturday night qualifier was chosen Antti Aalto, Niko Kytösaho, Vilho Palosaari and Kasperi Valto.
Sports Ski Jumping Specialist and Species Legend Janne Ahonen She wondered about Nousiainen’s ignoring.
– I have no insider information about the selection criterion, but I have no reason other than the team’s internal decision that the team will be viewed in the final training round. There, Eetu happened to be the weakest of the Finns, Ahonen said.
Ahonen admits that he was left to think about the situation.
Nousiainen was seriously injured in March last year in Planica’s iconic air hill. He crashed on a poor downfall. The knee front ligament ripped.
The knee was operated in April last year.
Nousiainen returned to the World Cup competition two weeks ago in Sapporo, Japan. He immediately jumped twice to the World Cup points.
Nousiainen was still hopeful after the training.
– Should be enough. We looked at the last two training jumps (in the race), but the last one went to the equipment, he told STT.
– New tools are being tested and tuned, but the basic set is in order.
“Finnish Midsummer” to the race
All four Finns made their way into a competition to jump on Saturday. 39th place Kasperi Valto was pleased so far with his best jump in Trondheim’s Normal Hill. From the rain, he had a traditional parable.
– Such a Finnish midsummer weather. Even the wind varies a bit. Probably good oxygen hit myself. It helped a little, Valto, who first entered the adult World Cup, described.
Antti Aalto was a Finn in the qualifier in 32th place. According to Aalto, the qualifying did not quite get a button performance, but it’s just a good Napsu.
– The preparation was good. They jumped for a couple of days in Lillehammer. I caught doing there, Aalto describes.
On Sunday, there may be heavy water. There may be a whimsical weather.
– Water was already in practice. It’s already used to it. I guess nothing, Aalto acknowledged.
“All that may have gone to his ass is gone”
38. Kytösaho went with great thoughts and goals to this season by preparing for the season outside the national team. Now the estimate of your season before the World Cup is harsh.
– Everything that could have gone to his ass has gone, Kytösaho sums up.
Before the World Cup, Kytösaho was a week and a half for a training break.
– It got good jumping and making good jumps. I haven’t quite continued them here. The season has been one downhill. You can go to the race without pressure, Kytösaho summed up.
Vilho Palosaari was 46th and relatively pleased with his jump, but admitted to his emergency.
– The main thing is that I got through the qualifying. There is always a little tension here, but it goes to workout, Palosaari said.
