Finland will host a major e sports tournament in the autumn

CSCE, the second in the world list of CS, will play in Espoo in November, when ESL’s professional tour lands in Finland.

Finland will have its own major international e-sports event when the international Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional tournament is held in Espoo in November. The three-day Elisa Masters Espoo ’22 will be played on 18-20. November at the Espoo Arena, which attracts more than six thousand spectators.

The telecom operator Elisa, which is organizing the tournament, declares that the event linked to the international ESL Pro Tour professional tour will be the largest e-sports competition in Finland to date.

There will be a record winning pot on the domestic scale: a total of $ 200,000, or just over € 190,000. Until now, the number one spot has also been held by Elisa’s CS: GO’s Arctic Invitational in 2019, where the game was $ 100,000.

The level of competing teams is also promised to be of international excellence. Eight of the 12 teams will receive an invitation directly according to the success of the race, and the remaining four will earn their place in the qualifiers. According to Elisa, for example, the team of the Finnish organization ENCE, which is ranked second on the world list, has already confirmed its participation in the competition.

As an additional carrot, the winner of the Espoo tournament will grab a place in the legendary Katowice IEM Million Tournament.

Elisa announced the upcoming event on Monday in Helsinki. The competition will be held with the international tournament organizer ESL and will be part of the ESL professional tour Pro Tour. Elisa has shown ESL competitions live on Twitch and its streaming service.

– We have been actively organizing e-sports tournaments since 2019, and this is our biggest step in organizing tournament events so far. As a domestic player, we want to give Finnish players the path to top international tournaments, says Mika Lepistö, Elisa’s Director of New Business Development and Partnership in the bulletin (you switch to another service).
