Finland has delivered the first temporary housing to Irpin, Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says on Twitter that apartments are to be completed for 200 people.

Earlier in the fall, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that, at the request of Ukraine, Finland will supply temporary family apartments to Ukrainians who lost their homes in the war. It is also planned to deliver mobile accommodation to Ukraine for the use of rescue personnel.

The ministry said in a press release in September that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will acquire the apartments and the Ministry of the Interior will deliver them to Ukraine through the EU rescue service mechanism.

Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Ville Skinnari (sd.) said at the time that these are apartments that can be quickly erected, dismantled and moved for year-round use.
