Fininvest 2022 revenues at 38 billion Profit drops to 200

(Finance) – Theshareholders’ meeting Of Fininvestunder the presidency of Marina Berlusconi, approved the financial statements of the parent company and examined the consolidated one, relating toyear ended 31 December 2022. The company explained that, after the exceptional results of 2021 characterized by some significant extraordinary components and by an economic-financial framework in strong recovery from the COVID-19 crisis, the results of 2022 “demonstrate the solid stability of group companies and stand at pre-pandemic levels”.

THE revenues consolidated amounted to 3,822.5 million euros, in line with the 3,817.9 million of revenues in 2021. The gross operating margin is equal to 860.1 million euros (921.6 million euros in 2021). The Net income consolidated amounted to 200.2 million euros (360.2 million euros in 2021).

In particular, the decrease compared to the 2021 results is attributable to the absence of non-recurring positive components accounted for in the previous year (effects of good performance of the markets financial and the capital gain from the sale of Towertel by EI Towers)

TO strategic level continued the investments: MFE extension gave further impetus to its international growth e Mondadori continued its focus on books with targeted M&A transactions. The important result of is also reported Mediolanum Bank, which recorded a record operating margin of 680 million. On the sporting front, 2022 was the year of promotion to Serie A achieved by AC Monza.

There net financial position of the group as at 31 December 2022 shows debt (before the application of IFRS 16) of 1,072.6 million euros, compared to 962.1 million euros as at 31 December 2021. The total net financial position, i.e. after the application of ‘IFRS 16, is equal to 1,232.8 million euros.
