In the final match played on Monday before the end of the first half, Deer showed a middle finger towards the opponent’s side, the Kotka Game Bears.
He has subsequently apologized for his behavior.
According to the disciplinary rules, a person who uses offensive or contemptuous language or gestures that may offend other persons involved in the activities of an association, region or club may be punished.
On that basis, the Chief Disciplinary Officer imposes a fine of EUR 300 on Deer.
The women’s basketball final series continues on Thursday night. The struggle of the Kymenlaakso teams is led by Kouvottaret 1–0. The gold medal is won with three wins.
