To find friends in The Finals you need the so-called Embark ID. We’ll show you where you can find it and how you can change your name.
What is Embark ID? The Embark ID is the individual identification number of all players. So a kind of individual user name that is made up of a name and four numbers. There is a diamond in between as a separator.
The number is needed to add other players as friends. We have a guide for you on exactly how to do this.

This is how you find the Embark ID in The Finals
Where can you find the Embark ID? The Embark ID is somewhat hidden in the game’s social menu. To access this, you first go to the game’s main menu, where you land directly after starting the game.
So you are not allowed to be in-game for this. In the main menu, click on one of the pluses to the left or right of your character to get to the social and friendship menu. There you can find your Embark ID at the top next to the word “Interaction”.
Where else can you find the Embark ID? The Embark ID can also be found on the website of “The Finals” makers Embark. To do this, simply go to this Embark website and log in with your normal account.
If this was successful, you should immediately see your display name. This always corresponds to the Embark ID in the game.
Can Embark ID be changed? The display name can change every 10 minutes and can consist of letters and numbers.
The numbers after the diamond cannot be changed. However, you can use hyphens, underscores and periods in your name, but not more than one special character in a row.
