Finding love through Tinder can be an expensive story.
At least for those who are keen on the dating app’s new luxury subscription.
Then the bill for Cupid’s arrows comes to just over SEK 65,000 a year.
The love-thirsty on Tinder have received a new offer.
The app’s most active users can now get luxury dating with a new subscription for 499 dollars, equivalent to 5,500 Swedish kronor a month.
Vip searches
The new subscription is called Tinder Select and has been offered to less than one percent of the app’s users, reports say Bloomberg.
However, what the 65,000 kroner per year in subscription is worth is highly unclear – Tinder has not published the details of the new service.
What is revealed is that swipers should be able to do “vip searches, get access to matches and conversations”.
Write – no match
Users are also promised to be shown the app’s most attractive and popular profiles.
It also departs from the previous concept that profiles must swipe right on each other to get a match and then be able to send messages.
With SEK 65,000 per year, you can write to whomever you want without matching.
Want to challenge competitors
Earlier in September, Tinder hinted that the company would undergo changes to attract Gen Z users.
At the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference, Match Group CEO Bernard Kim, which owns Tinder, announced that the company is working to challenge competitors and match the parent company’s other dating apps.
Meanwhile, he called expensive subscriptions “low-hanging fruit” used to match more expensive subscriptions offered by competitors.
