In Path of Exile 2, the Sacrificial Heart item takes up a lot of inventory space. We’ll explain what you do with it and how you get the two additional skill points.
Path of Exile 2 takes you through the game’s story over 6 different acts before you reach the endgame. In Act 3 of the game you will receive the quest item “Sacrificial Heart”, which can be used to earn two additional skill points.
However, until you have completed the quest for the item, you cannot remove the item from your inventory and it takes up space. We’ll show you where you can find the item and how you can use it.

Finding Sacrificial Heart – Here’s how it works
To find the Sacrificial Heart, all you have to do is defeat rare enemies on the Aggorat map in Act 3 of the game. With a bit of luck, one of them will drop the quest item.
If you have trouble finding the heart, groups of red, green or blue mushrooms can help you find the way. They indicate important areas within the map.
Some users also report finding the Sacrificial Heart in the adjacent zones. So if you’ve already run through Aggorat several times without success, you can also try the rare enemies in an adjacent area.
Sacrificial Heart – This is how you get the two skill points
Once you have the Sacrificial Heart in your inventory, you should make your way to the altar. You can find this on the left or right side of the Aggorat map. The page depends on which layout of the map you are given.
The altar is always located slightly outside and never on one side where you come into an adjacent area.
Once you have found the altar, you can simply place the heart in it with a left click. Then pick up the dagger lying next to it. Then you have the option to stab the heart. If you do that, you will receive the two skill points.
Some players are having trouble finding the waypoint in Aggorat. In order to unlock this, you must have progressed far enough in the main story.
Travel through the “time gateway” in Act 3 or via Clearfell in Act 4. The “time gateway” mechanic must already be unlocked, otherwise you cannot reach Aggorat in Act 3.
