Financial education week starting on 20 March here are the

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – From 20 to 26 March come back there financial education weeka campaign to sensitize young people on the importance of money and its management. There Global Money Weekcampaign promoted byOECD and coordinated in Italy by the Committee for the planning and coordination of financial education activities (Edufin committee), with the organizational contribution of Bank of Italywill start on Monday 20 March on the theme: “Manage your money, sow your future” (Plan your money, plant your future), a message to underline the importance for the new generations of adopting a responsible, informed and future-oriented approach in their financial choices.

Public and private institutions, associations, universities, schools and research bodies will involve young people in almost 300 initiatives in which money, payment instruments, savings, financial planning, investments, insurance and, looking to the future, social security, environment and sustainability will be discussed. For the little ones are expected workshopssuch as those dedicated to building short stories or managing an imaginary friend’s budget, for the older onesInstead, webinars, conferences, lessons, video tutorials, plays, challenges and quizzes in presence and online.

The national opening event organized by Edufin committee to be held on March 20 from 10 to 12, in Rome, at the headquarters of Unioncamereand will be opened by the director of the Committee Annamaria Lusardthe. “Helping young people sow their future is one of the best investments that the country can make. Financial education for young people concerns everyone and is a powerful tool for growth, equity and inclusion”, underlines the director Annamaria Lusardi, explaining that the choice of Unioncamere for the opening event is motivated by the belief that “financial education also serves to develop entrepreneurship”.

The Edufin Committee will also be present at theinternational eventorganized by Bank of Italy and fromOECDusable online March 20 from 13 to 14.30. March 21st at 11, IVASS will host secondary school students in a conference show at the Salone Margherita in Rome, while on March 24th Consob will propose the show “Beware of scams! Finance on stage”. Throughout the week, it will also be possible to participate in initiatives for schools organized by the branches of the Bank of Italy and gather information on the educational project “Economy at Play”.

In parallel it will turn to European Week of Financial Education (EMW – European Money Week), the initiative promoted by the European Banking Federation (EBF) and organized in Italy by FEduF (ABI) to raise awareness among young people of over 35 European countries on the central issues of economic citizenship. Initiatives that will involve around 1,300 girls and boys from Northern to Southern Italy, thanks to the efforts made by Cherry Bank, Banca Popolare di Puglia e Basilicata, BPER Banca, Banca Sella, Banca Widiba, La Cassa di Ravenna SPA, Fondazione CRT and Fondazione Tertio Millennium.

EMW’s thirteen online events range from “Down with stereotypes”, a training course on gender differences and stereotypes in economics, a Pay like a Ninja which raises young people’s awareness of the use of digital money, illustrating the processes connected to the dematerialisation of money and the innovative frontiers of digital. The European Financial Education Week will end on 24 March with the European Money Quizthe largest financial literacy competition in Europe promoted and coordinated in Italy by FEduF (ABI) and now in its seventh edition.
