Final no to gold mine in Fäboliden

It was exactly two years ago that the Land and Environmental Court at Umeå District Court rejected Dragon Mining (Sweden) AB’s application for a permit to mine gold in Fäbodliden in Lycksele municipality.

According to the court, the negative effects of the mine and the transport of the ore are too great.

In March last year, the Land and Environmental Court of Appeal announced that it would not grant leave to appeal.

And now Dragon Mining has received a final no for a gold mine.

Sami Radio reports that the Supreme Court does not grant leave to appeal to the company’s appeal, which means that the Land and Environment Court’s judgment stands.
