Get ready to find the planet Arrakis. Dune: part 2, continuation of science fiction film Dune directed by Denis Villeneuve, has started filming. This was announced by the official Twitter account on Monday, July 18, 2022. This second feature film will pick up just after the events of the first episode, and will adapt the second part of Frank Herbert’s book to the big screen. It will be released in France on November 15, 2022.
Dune 2 will see new faces make up its cast. Florence Pugh has been cast as Princess Irulan, while Austin Butler (Elvis) will play Feyd-Rautha. They will be accompanied by Christopher Walken (Emperor Shaddam IV Corrino), Léa Seudoux (Lady Margot Fenring) and Souheila Yacoub. Timothée Chalamet takes over the role of Paul Atréides, alongside Zendaya (Chani), Josh Brolin (Gurney Halleck), Javier Bardem (Stilgar), Rebecca Ferguson (Dame Jessica) and Stellan Skarsgard (Baron Harkonnen).

Dune: Part 2 began filming in July 2022, the film’s official Twitter account announced. The release date in France is currently scheduled for November 15, 2023, a little over two years after the release of the first part, which was already produced by Denis Villeneuve.
