A lovely cast of stars will walk the red carpet of the 77th Cannes Film Festival, this Tuesday, May 14. The last act, a new production by the prolific Quentin Dupieux, has obtained the prestigious role of opening the event this year. The film is presented out of competition at 8 p.m. this Tuesday evening, and is released at the same time in French cinemas.
As revealed by the trailer released a few weeks ago, Quentin Dupieux has signed a new film which promises to be as surprising as it is mysterious. In the trailer, we discover the main actors of the Last act, Louis GarrelVincent Lindon, Raphaël Quenard, Manuel Guillot and Lea Seydoux argue over who is the main character in the film.
Fortunately, the synopsis sheds more light on this feature film. The latter takes place in a restaurant in the middle of nowhere, “the second act”, while Florence wants to introduce her lover David to her father, while David seeks to get rid of her by pushing her into the arms of his friend Willie. But is that all? Because Quentin Dupieux has accustomed us to surprise, and this feature film still promises to be very enigmatic. Response in Cannes and in cinemas.
