Film from shooting on Malmvägen in Sollentuna

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

A 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy from a criminal network in Upplands Väsby have been charged after a shooting on Malmvägen in Sollentuna.

Dramatic surveillance footage, which TV4 Nyheterna can now show, shows how a stolen Audi drives into the residential area shortly before midnight on September 3 this year.

Suddenly, two black-clad and masked men, each with a weapon in hand, jump out of the car and open fire at a gate in the apartment building. According to the police investigation, about 30 shots were fired.

The perpetrators, who forgot to apply the car’s handbrake, then flee the scene after the vehicle rolls into parked cars.

Prosecutor’s theory: Shooter shoots shooter during chaotic escape

The task force was able, after the intervention of a willing witness, who raised the alarm when the suspects set the Audi on fire and changed vehicles, to stop the getaway car on the E4. In the back seat, the 17-year-old, now charged, was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

– There are two shooters at the crime scene, of which we were able to show that one shot the other, probably by mistake. The investigation into this has been closed as we have not been able to show who the other shooter is, says District Attorney Jenny Karlsson.

The 17-year-old is charged with attempted murder and the 21-year-old with aiding and abetting attempted murder. Both are also on trial on suspicion of extremely serious weapons crime and vandalism. Another man is charged with serious weapons crime on suspicion of having given one of the weapons to the suspected perpetrators.

The trial is ongoing in Attunda district court.
