Cifal in turmoil. The French international trade company is the subject of a preliminary investigation for suspicion of corruption of a foreign public official, indicated this Friday, April 28 the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF), confirming information from Challenges.

He must be heard on May 2 on his links with Moscow by the National Assembly’s commission of inquiry into foreign interference.

Lucien Ebata is under indictment for money laundering and corruption in the context of a judicial investigation opened by the PNF in 2020. Investigators are trying to find out if he embezzled oil money Congolese.
