Philippine police have arrested a pastor who is wanted both in the Philippines and in the United States for crimes including child sexual abuse and human trafficking.

He is suspected of human trafficking of girls and women aged 12-25, and of abuse and suspected rape of the people hired as personal assistants in his church KOJC.

Sunday’s arrest came after two weeks of massive police manhunt for the suspect, who calls himself the Son of God. The arrested, Apollo Quiboloy, was also close to former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Quiboloy surrendered after he and four aides were surrounded by police in a compound linked to his church in Davao, southern Philippines.

The United States has issued an arrest warrant for Quiboloy as he is suspected of, among other things, financial irregularities and false information to obtain a visa to the United States.
