The international died during a round of golf with friends in Philadelphia when a tree fell on the golf cart in which Krüeger and his two friends were sitting. The friends survived, but the Swede died instantly.
– There are many of us who are devastated by this, says Sweden’s national team captain Bolbol Aziz to the newspaper.
Krüeger was ready for the European Squash Championships in May.
– He loved playing in the national team and was so proud to wear Sweden’s clothes. We have so many memories together. Partly my personal journey, and his personal journey. Partly via squash but also outside when he got older, says Aziz.
