Filip Forsberg struck in overtime and made sure his Nashville got the extra point in the meeting with Philadelphia.
The night’s NHL round offered several Swedish goals – including a new goal from Detroit’s Jonatan Berggren, who was recently called up from the farm league.
In-form Nashville opened the scoring through Gustav Nyquistwhich was performed by Philip Forsberg and the home team had a 2–0 lead until the last minute of the middle act. Then the guests reduced via Sean Couturier.
In the third, the equalizer came when Couturier played forward Travis Sanheim. In overtime, however, Nashville – which has now won five of its last six games – drew the longest straw when, after just 18 seconds, Forsberg scored the rebound on his own shot behind Samuel Ersson in the opponent’s cage.

Also elsewhere, Swedes were noted for points. Mika Zibanejad accounted for a complete hit when his Rangers took on Toronto at home.
However, it didn’t help much – the guests won 3-7 after a goal Calle Järnkrok and double assists from William Nylander.
In the meeting between Detroit and St. Louis, the former team did Jonathan Berggren goal for the second straight game since being called up from the Grand Rapids Griffins for last night’s meeting with Dallas. Even the teammate Lucas Raymond was credited with a goal in a game Detroit won 6–4.
