(Finance) – It took place today in Naplesat the university detachment of S. Giovanni a Teducciothe first stage of the “Caravan of Prevention” by Komen Italia, promoted again this year by Motorways for Italy. The National Itinerant Program for the Protection of Women’s Healthstarted in 2017 by Komen Italyin collaboration with Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS, in 3 Italian cities thanks to the support of Aspi, which has been involved in the fight against breast cancer for years: Naples, Rome and Genoa.
The event was attended by, among others, the Health Councilor Vincenzo Santagatathe President of the 6th Municipality of Naples, Alexander Fucitowho granted moral patronage to the initiative, the Administrator of the Naples ring road, Louis Massthe Human Capital Organization and HSE Director of Autostrade per l’Italia, Gian Luca Oreficeand Professor of construction techniques at the Federico II University, Andrew Prota.
Gian Luca Orefice, Director Human Capital Organization and HSE of Autostrade per l’Italia, comments on the initiative as follows: “Also in 2023, Autostrade per l’Italia’s commitment to consolidate good social practices, which has already been under construction for some years to generate and distribute value in community that we go through. The proximity of the ASPI Group to the territories requires us to pay constant attention to social problems. We must continue to cultivate connections and networks on a human level, giving consistency to citizenship rights. And we are doing it: with the economic resources we allocate to prevention campaigns, so that health and safety are priorities accessible to all; investing in training and schools, to rebalance the starting points and increase employability levels. ASPI thus confirming itself as a social infrastructure alongside the institutions, the third sector, always inclined towards integration with other companies, so that we can all do our part!”.

Over the course of the day there were over 100 screenings, including mammograms for women over 40 and ultrasounds for women under 40. The “Prevention Caravan” is Komen Italia’s national traveling program for the promotion of women’s health, which offers free awareness and prevention activities for the main gender-based oncological diseases to an increasingly wider audience.
In particular, the “Caravan of Prevention” is aimed at women who, living in conditions of unease social And precariousness economical, pay less attention to their health and want to compensate for this gap with a free and transversal screening offer. Komen has already offered over 50,000 free medical services in 17 Italian regions, with more than 700 prevention days, aimed mainly at territories and communities in difficulty. There are 6 Mobile Units set up with latest generation technological equipment, to offer specialist consultancy and personalized paths useful for adopting more correct lifestyles.

With over 56,000 new cases per year in Italy alone, i breast tumors in fact, they represent the most frequent neoplasms for women: 1 in 9 women develops breast cancer during their lifetime; L’incidence is continually increasing and, although these are highly curable tumors, particularly when identified in the early stages, more than 1,000 women lose their lives to this disease every month in our country.
Autostrade per l’Italia has supported the fight against breast cancer and all the main cancers for years neoplasms feminineguaranteeing over 300 free screenings to women involved in these prevention campaigns offered in the various locations corporate: an important initiative to combat one of the most widespread cancers and still the main cause of female death.
