“A martial arts action film on an international level” German director Oliver Kienle wanted to shoot in 60 minutes. The action thriller is coming straight to Netflix early next year. Its biggest star is called Emilio Sakraya. 60 Minutes is the actor’s second Netflix project. He had no luck with the ambitious but half-baked sci-fi story Tribes of Europa in 2021; the series was quietly canceled after one season.

Mixed martial arts fighter Octavio (Emilio Sakraya) only has one hour – 60 minutes – Time to make it to his daughter’s birthday. If he doesn’t make it, he could lose his custody forever. To do this, he skips a big fight – much to the displeasure of some shady characters who are after him from now on and make it difficult for him to show up on time.
The actress and stuntwoman Marie Mouroum can be seen in another leading role as Cosima. You and Sakraya “have many years of experience in martial arts and were enthusiastic about weeks to months of training”says Oliver Kienle.
