What is the FIFA 23 TOTY? “TOTY” stands for “Team of the Year” and is one of the most anticipated events in Ultimate Team each year.
Team of the Year brings to Ultimate Team vastly improved versions of players who have excelled in real-world football throughout the year.
Every year in the TOTY there are some of the top players with heavy upgrades that go into the high 90s. With that, the event brings some of the best cards you can have in FIFA 23.

TOTY Wahl heralds the Team of the Year event in FIFA 23
When does the TOTY voting start? The TOTY election begins on January 10, 2023. This was confirmed by EA Sports via Twitter. This should take place directly on the EA website for FIFA 23. We’ll include the link as soon as it’s available.
Who are the TOTY nominees? There are a total of 100 nominated players who can be chosen for the TOTY. These are divided into goalkeepers, defence, midfield and attack.
The nominees are not yet known, but are set to be unveiled on Monday 9th January – one day before the election.
When will the FIFA Team of the Year come out?
When is the FIFA 23 TOTY start? There is currently no official date, but a start on January 20 is conceivable.
The current “FUT Centurions” event ends on this date. This would make room for the TOTY, which traditionally starts in January.
Last year, the TOTY for FIFA 22 started on January 21, 2022.
What does the TOTY bring? What is certain is that there will be massively strengthened cards in the packs again. However, you should not expect to draw any of them – the chances are likely to be very low.
Other content is also conceivable. So last year there was still the “12. Mann” and the “Honorable Mentions”, also improved cards that didn’t quite make it into the TOTY.
