In some modes such as Ultimate Team, for example, the players are still missing. And the features related to women’s football have apparently not yet caught on with the players either.
If you look at the statistics of the PS5 successes for FIFA 23, you will find the success “Football is everything”. You get it as soon as you play a game with women’s teams. So far, this achievement is rated Very Rare with 9.5% of players who have earned it.
Will this number increase until the release of the successor EA Sports FC? It is conceivable, because a new update for FIFA 23 should accompany the Women’s World Cup in the summer.
What is this update for FIFA 23?
EA Sports presented the update for the “FIFA Women’s World Cup” on its own website (via ea.com). There should be different ways to experience the tournament directly in the game.
One option puts individual players in the foreground: In “Take over your country” mode, you either play a real player or create your own, which can then be assigned to the national team. The tournament is now played through – either with the selected player or with the entire team.
Then there is a very classic tournament mode that you can play through solo. In addition, the World Cup will also be available in Kick-off, where you can play against the AI or friends on the couch.
What’s in the content of the update? In addition to the tournament modes, all 32 qualifying nations will be available. There are also decorations for the stadium and a special presentation of the matches including new cinematics. The commentators should also be specific to the tournament.
When will the update appear? EA Sports has not yet given an exact date, they are talking about “end of June”. It comes as a free update, so it’s easy to download.
Incidentally, the real World Cup will start on July 20, 2023 and will then run until August 20. The tournament will take place in Australia and New Zealand.
