Fierce debate about Vattenborgen: “Not satisfied with the answers”

The list of speakers was quickly filled when the municipal council in Karlskrona held its first meeting after the summer break today. And the posts were almost exclusively about the tours around Vattenborgen and the cultural route, which have been met with strong criticism since the plans were presented.

– Millions of dollars have rolled away here for which there is no support, either in terms of decisions or for no good reason. It could have been used for teacher resources instead. It is very unfortunate, said Magnus Larsson (C), group leader.

– The Center Party has been in charge for quite a few years, and so far this business has cost the taxpayers approximately SEK 22 million and we have not received a single drop, nothing at all, answered Christopher Larsson (SD), municipal councilor.

Questions were also directed at the chairman of the municipal board, Emma Swahn Nilsson (M), about her role in the deal, but, as before, she did not want to answer, considering that as the owner of Vattenborgen, she is tough. However, she clarified that she will not lead the intended steering group for the cultural center.

SD: “Will never be satisfied”

Even the announcement that the City Library will not get new premises met with strong criticism. And the opposition is not satisfied with the answers that were given.

– It wasn’t very clarifying, we didn’t get that many new answers. There is so much that is unclear. There is a lot of money involved and it has already been noticed that there have been errors in handling, says Sandra Bizzozero (S), opposition councilor, to SVT Nyheter Blekinge.

– We missed actually keeping a diary of an action. It’s not more difficult than that. But the opposition will never, ever be satisfied with anything I do, says Christopher Larsson (SD).

– I am not satisfied with the answers I received. This will be a recurring issue during future meetings, says Magnus Larsson (C).
