The meeting will take place during the day, writes FI on its website. Apart from Alecta, the authority does not specify which other companies will participate, but only writes that they “should talk about the investments they have in American banks and other exposures to the sector that the American banks have targeted”.
In addition to this, FI also has contact with the major Swedish banks, but it is written in the press release that the assessment is that none of them have their own large direct exposures to the specifically affected American banks.
“We see a certain amount of drama and turbulence in the American banking market. However, our assessment is that the stability of the Swedish financial system is not affected by this, as it has significant resilience,” says FI’s Acting Director General Susanna Grufman in the press release.
American Silicon Valley Bank, which was at the center of the crisis, has a small representative office in Sweden but no permission from FI to conduct business.
