People in risk groups and those over 65 are recommended to take a dose of the new updated vaccine against covid-19 when it is released this autumn.
The new vaccine should provide better protection against the virus variants that are circulating in Sweden right now and the spread of infection is expected to increase during the winter season.
There will also be an opportunity for those under 65 who are not in any risk group to receive the vaccine.
People living in special housing (SÄBO) and some other risk groups will be offered vaccination from mid-October and it will be available for other groups shortly thereafter.
