Fewer voters have confidence in Jimmie Åkesson (SD)

On Tuesday, the Almedal Week in Visby gets underway, and first up are the Sweden Democrats.

But after the handling of Kalla fakta’s troll factory revelation, party leader Jimmie Åkesson loses four percent of voters’ trust.

This is according to an opinion poll that Novus has conducted on behalf of TV4.

Magdalena Andersson (S) and Ulf Kristersson (M) end up in first and second place respectively when voters are asked if they trust the Swedish party leaders, which party leader they have the most trust in. This is shown by an opinion poll from Novus on behalf of TV4.

The Sweden Democrats’ Jimmie Åkesson loses four percent of voters’ trust. Something that, according to Novus CEO Torbjörn Sjöström, has at least partly to do with Kalla fakta’s disclosure of the party’s anonymous accounts.

– After the cold facts disclosure, we still see a change, he says.

V and MP move forward

But the change also has to do with the fact that the two EU election winners, the Left Party and the Green Party, are moving forward, which also led to Nooshi Dadgostar taking over the third place that Jimmie Åkesson had held for a long time.

– Dadgostar has benefited from the fact that we have had an EU election where she and Jonas Sjöstedt have come out a lot in the media, says Torbjörn Sjöström.

– And when the EU, which focuses on individual matters above all, and the Swedish people say that it is the EU that will solve the climate issue, then it is the MP that wins.
