The number of corona-infected patients treated in Swedish hospitals continues to decrease.
Last Thursday, 1,200 people with covid-19 were hospitalized, according to the National Board of Health and Welfare’s estimate. This can be compared with close to 2,200 at the turn of the year and just under 1,600 on Friday last week.
The number admitted to intensive care has decreased from 51 to 17 in three weeks, according to the IVA register. The number of new infections has also decreased significantly.
Updated statistics are missing for the deaths, which for three weeks around the turn of the year were over 350 per week.
