Few police officers are taught how to drive cars
Few police officers receive training in intercepting fleeing vehicles. This is what the police supervisory unit writes in a critical report, according to Police newspaper.
In order to pull over a fleeing vehicle, a police officer must have passed the agency’s national driver training stage 3. However, it does not include appropriate methods of pulling over or exercises.
According to the report, managers should abdicate responsibility for the work environment if staff do not receive the necessary training.
