The new ATP rankings, released on Monday, are virtually unchanged, with the last week having been dedicated to the qualifying round for the Davis Cup finals.
Daniil Medvedev enters his second week as number 1, but without the Russian flag. The ATP and the WTA have indeed accepted that Russian and Belarusian players can continue to participate in their tournaments, but under neutral status, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in which Belarus is collaborating.
His compatriot Andrey Rublev, also deprived of the flag, is one of the rare players in the Top 20 to lose a place (he fell to 7th), with the Pole Hubert Hurkacz (now 11th).
The Italians Matteo Berrettini and Jannik Sinner take the opportunity to climb to 6th and 10th places respectively before the start of the Masters 1000 in Indian Wells, California on Thursday.
Gaël Monfils, 28th, is still the first Frenchman. Ugo Humbert (42nd) and Arthur Rinderknech (57th) gain two places, Benjamin Bonzi five (62nd). Conversely, Adrian Mannarino fell eight places (66th).
