In the run-up to the festival, where about 150,000 visitors from all over the Netherlands are expected, all kinds of parties and dance evenings are organized with salsa, merengue and other warm-blooded music. Joëlle Sweet and her partner Fulco Vergouw are frequent visitors to such parties. Fulco: “What time did we go to sleep?” Joelle: Well, 3 a.m. or 4 a.m.? And now here we are again!”
