A fire broke out in a Ferris wheel set up at the Highfield Festival on Stormthaler Lake near the city of Leipzig in eastern Germany.
According to initial reports, an object under the Ferris wheel caught fire for an unknown reason, and the flames then spread to the gondola.
POLICE OFFICERS AND FIRST AID TEAM ALSO INJURED
At least 23 people were injured in the incident. 16 people, including police officers and first aid crew members, were treated in hospital. It was reported that 4 of those treated had burns and 1 person was injured as a result of a fall.
