Lieke Klaver also qualified for the final. The 23-year-old athlete finished third in the second semifinal behind Shaunae Miller-Uibo of the Bahamas and Justyna Swiety-Ersetic of Poland. Miller-Uibo was slightly slower with 51.38 than in the first semifinal. Klaver came to 51.81, in total good for the sixth time.
