The 22-year-old Bol has become a world champion in recent years, in the 400 meters and the 400 hurdles. Very often she no longer runs in the Netherlands, so the NK in Apeldoorn is an excellent opportunity for athletics fans to see Bol in action. “I always want to run well and put on a good race for the crowd,” she says. “It’s even nicer that it’s at home. Almost all my family was there today, so that’s very nice.”
