Officers learned a man approached a woman on St. Clair Street in Chatham and said he was going to harm her daughter, while making a threatening gesture, police said.

Investigation revealed the man was on conditions not to communicate with the woman or her daughter, police said.
Officers arrested a suspect walking southbound on St. Clair, police said.
A Chatham man, 18, is charged with uttering threats and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking, police said. He was held pending a bail hearing.
Man arrested in drive-thru disturbance
Talk about jumping the queue.
Officers responding to a disturbance call learned a man was jumping in and out of vehicles in the McDonald’s drive-thru on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg early Tuesday.

The man was located, found to be intoxicated and arrested, police said. He was held until sober.
Man charged after store theft
Police responded to a business on Wellington Street West in Chatham on Monday afternoon for a theft investigation.
Officers learned a man had entered the store, removed items from the shelves and exited the store without paying, Chatham-Kent police said.
The incident was captured on surveillance footage which assisted police in identifying the man. Officers located a suspect a short distance away, arrested him and seized some items, police said.
A 28-year-old man is charged with theft and possessing stolen property, police said. He was taken to police headquarters and held for lease.
