On October 23, a traffic accident occurred on Bergnäset in Luleå. It turned out to be a bus loaded with several school children.
The bus driver, a man in his 70s, allegedly fell asleep at the wheel and then drove the bus into the ditch.
Just a week or so earlier, the same driver had fallen asleep and driven another school bus into the ditch. That time at Örarna in Luleå.
Now the driver is sentenced to pay SEK 15,200 in fines for negligence in traffic.
The man has denied wrongdoing.
After the accident, the bus company Nobina was fired and a new operator now operates the route.
