Federbalneari asks the government for an interministerial table

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – “Federbalneari Italia expresses its concern to the Governmentled by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, for the stalemate of the reform on bathing concessions, che should follow the process of the Milleproroghe Decree where, among other things, the need was established to open an inter-ministerial table at Palazzo Chigi quickly, given the urgency of the situation, also to know the process for mapping the public assets under concession”. So Marco Maurelli, President of Federbalneari Italia, urging the Presidency of the Council and the Ministries concerned.

“It is necessary that all parties affected by the decree sit around a table as soon as possible to start the planned reform process, avoiding putting the future of the sea sector at risk and that it is the sentences, and not the laws, to reorganize the sector who lives under the regime of 4 extensions from 13 years by now, adds Maurelli, convinced that “it is necessary to immediately start thinking about a path that gives continuity to the sector and, in parallel, leads to a serious and reasoned reform to an organic law for the reorganization and protection of our tourist businesses starting from the revision of the navigation code and the immediate release of investments to modernize the tourist offer and assets under concession”.

“We are really worried about the time elapsed since the approval of the Milleproroghe and we do not want this regulation to end up like many other legislative texts. Finally, we hope that the Government will firmly ask Brussels to review the application of the Services Directive to the sector of state-owned assets under concession. Federbalneari Italia, for its part, will monitor carefully so that no one, including the municipalities involved in tenders for beach concessions, take hasty and autonomous steps and above all to the detriment of our important entrepreneurial heritage”.
